Washington Street Manor House

A CONTEMPORARY EXAMPLE OF HOW DENSITY CAN HIDE ITSELF AND STILL LOOK LIKE EVERYTHING AROUND IT.

Washington Street Manor House looks like one large house. But upon closer inspection it is a carefully designed walk up 4Plex Apartment building and two townhouses joined together. The illusion is purposeful so that the infill can fit nicely amongst the large Guilded-Age mansions along Washington Street yet still provided the necessary housing density the neighborhood needs. Washington St. Manor is proof that multi-family doesn’t always have to mean big, bulky, block buildings with no character.
